Here to Help Pre-Health Students and Alumni
The mission of the Health Professions Advisory Committee (HPAC) is to identify, guide, advise, and support students and alumni who are preparing for careers in the health professions, by helping them:
- explore career options in the health professions based on their interests,
- determine which pre-requisite course to take and when,
- identify and find co-curiculars (e.g., shadowing, internships, research, clubs/sports,
work, and leadership) to participate in to develop to become the health professionals
they want to be with a full and authentic application portfolio,
- develop a timeline and plan for applying,
- overcome challenges and adjust plans as needed,
- prepare for standardized exams, and
- craft their application materials.
